One Way To Get Motivated For The Rest Of The Day - It Took Me 50 minutes, But I Bet You Can Do It Much Faster!

I was feeling a bit down this morning and I was looking for something, someone, to help me get my motivation back. We all have days, when, no matter what we do, it seems that all is against us. The best thing to do when something like this happens is to fight it. Don't let yourself fall down for too long. Search for something that can help you rise once more.

We all have something (at least one thing) that can motivate us and put us back on track. Maybe your motivation is talking to a special person, your loved one or a friend that seems to be overcharged with motivation. Who knows what it is? Only you know what motivates you. And if you don't know what motivates you, than you better start looking for it or them.

Like I said earlier, I was having a lack of motivation and just didn't know what to do, feeling overwhelmed and so on. I was chasing my own tail and not getting anything done. It's horrible when this happens, but at least it gave me a chance to see if I can walk the talk. I mean, on this blog and on the RazvanDobre.com site, one of my main topics is motivation and motivating others.

If I can't motivate myself how can I motivate others?

This is a very powerful affirmation/question for me. It keeps me awake against these states of low motivation. It also helps me It's like I'm drowning, and when I ask myself that question, I instantly realize that I can swim and take a breath of air. I'm only drowning because I don't react or I overly react (when we seem to be drowning or feel in any way in danger, we tend to get scared and overly react, which actually is the cause of many accidents and even deaths). If we could only retain ourself from doing that in those moments. Sure we can say that we did this or that, but what really matters is how we act under pressure, especially if that pressure could mean losing your life.

So, I was asking myself that question and my brain started ticking(it was on stand by until then :) Hmmm, interesting question, I should use it often and maybe my brain would be more efficient - wrote it on my to do list. I though about how could I get motivated and get things done. I thought and I thought, and then I thought some more (this takes some time, luckily that I have a good level of patience :)

I knew a couple of ways to get myself back on track, but I'm always looking to broaden my motivation range and learn new ways to motivate myself and others. I thought: "what thing or event or person gave me a state of motivation lately? What made me feel great?" There were a few things on my mind, but I chose the one that made me feel I special sensation a couple of days back.

I had found my motivation! And it was called The Lord Of The Rings - The Return Of The King a movie that I highly recommend, if you didn't watch already! The whole Lord Of The Rings Trilogy is amazing, but this part is just out of this earth! It just is that good! The actors, the lines, the wonderful New Zealand scenery, everything. Anyway, this movie gave me a great feeling, so I tried to see if I could make it one of my secret weapons for motivation.

I started watching the first part a little ("The Return Of The King" is divided into 3 parts), browsing through it and only watching the best parts of it like the scene where Gandalf and the others go and have a little chat with Saruman in Isengard - a great, powerful scene (if your curious you can watch the movie and see for yourself :). Then I had a quick peak at the meeting between Elrond and Aragorn, and the moment when Elrond takes out the sword and after that, when Aragorn goes to get the army he needed. But enough about this, because I'm ruining the movie if you didn't yet see it. The idea is that I browsed through it.

The whole browsing thing took me about 50 minutes (I was really un-motivated :) but man was it worth it! I got so much motivation out of that movie that I'm willing to give you a piece of it if you want. This motivated me for the entire day, and I think there's still more to last me tomorrow as well. Those scenes made me want to do something and not waste this beautiful day, and I did a lot today.

So, this motivation trick worked fine for me and I found another way to motivate myself.

I'm sure that you have a favorite movie, one that motivates and gives you some positive chills. Watch it or at least browse through the moments that you like the most and see if it works for you as well as it did for me. It worth the effort because if there's something that can get you motivated and feeling good again why not try it? Or maybe you like being sad and depressed?
